Designers wanted creative control, but traditional email coding was tedious and error-prone. Pure drag-and-drop editors are built for the lowest common denominator, leaving creativity on the cutting room floor and preventing developers from building the best messages. Parcel bridged the design-code gap, fixed email-specific issues, and enabled team collaboration in new ways. In 2022, Customer.io [acquired Parcel](https://customer.io/learn/announcements/welcoming-parcel) to bring its capabilities to a wider audience. Odds are you've received an email created with Parcel. Companies that used Parcel include Figma, Zapier, DoorDash, Intuit, Calm, Yale, Skillshare, and Turo. But they were all fun. ### Complete - **dibs** (Mar 2026): A CLI that checks if a name is available across domains, social handles, package registries, and trademarks in one command. https://github.com/avigoldman/dibs > Every time I start a new project I end up manually checking npm, GitHub, Twitter, domains, etc. one by one. So I built a tool that does it all at once. It scores and ranks everything so you know what's actually worth grabbing. `npx calldibs your-name` to try it. - **Professometer** (Nov 2025): A satirical Chrome extension that analyzes email professionalism with tongue-in-cheek AI scoring. https://professometer.com/ > Tech right now feels like insane, the dumbest timeline. Huge checks written to AI companies that solve problems that aren't important. Professometer is based on my friend [Amitai's](https://www.linkedin.com/in/amitai-cohen/) idea which I made in the spirit of what tech reads like right now. - **Can I Scrape** (Nov 2025): Can I Scrape is a tool to check if robots are allowed to crawl and index web pages. https://www.caniscrape.com/ > One of the alternative ideas I was considering instead of Parcel was around scraping. I built Can I Scrape as a way to dip my toes into the space. So I made this bookmarklet for myself and honestly this is the piece of code I've written that I've used most in my life.
